Welcome to my KOI gallery

These were my koi fishes. Most of them were my own raised kois ranging from 2 to 5 years old. They were raised in my own made pond. A 20 feet long x 3 feet deep pond with some gravels, high powered submersible and non-submersible pump, a home-made filtration system, some live plants and plastic accessories. Koi Feeding in Action.

What's the nice thing about my koi is that they recognize me. During feeding, I will just do my whistling and they will come rushing towards me. Another is that they feel comfortable and secure when its me feeding them. (click image to enlarge photo)

 
Koi eggs - a thousand of it!

After my two male koi paired with a female and successfully mated, in 3 days they left me with these thousands of eggs. I took out the parent kois as they tend to eat those eggs. I added a 4 tablespoon of Methalyne Blue and 2 tablespoon of rock salt as per experts' advise.


The Koi fry...

Below were the 3 weeks old fry. Around 60 percent of the eggs were hatched and only 5 percent were of good quality with regards to coloration, shape and size.
